“All I wanna do is grow old with you.”
- the wedding singer
Kelly & Anthony are pretty much THE perfect duo, and their big day was absolutely brimming with love, laughter, and good times. Anthony & his boys took their places at the altar to the tune of "We Will Rock You," guests signed custom Devils jerseys in liu of a guest book, and the night culminated with The Dropkick Murphys, an epic sing-a-long straight out of The Wedding Singer, and one heck of an after party.
But before all of fun and fancy, Kelly & Anthony took a sweet, quiet moment away from the hustle and bustle of the day for a blind vow exchange. Watching the two gently squeeze hands around the corner from each other - exchanging a tear and a giggle, a little sob caught in their throats, a little breath taken more deeply - is something I'll never forget.
the preparations
the ceremony
Kelly often referred to Anthony as her "rock," so when cooking up his proposal plan, he decided to lean in to the metaphor - by wrapping a note reading "Will you marry me?" around a rock. Sweet. Simple. Perfect? Um, yep.
So naturally, entering their ceremony to "We Will Rock You" by Queen was an absolute necessity.
the reception
Kelly & Anthony paid homage to their favorite team, the New Jersey Devils, by adding touches of the hockey heroes throughout their reception. Guests signed custom jerseys, enjoyed a Devilishly delicious cake, and found their "sections" using stadium tickets. The couple even stacked hockey pucks in their centerpieces. After all, they do say "the devil is in the details"...!
“…but I think, even then I knew… I was waiting for my wife.”
